Ghanaians Have Been Advised To Make Insurance A Part Of Their Culture

The Managing Director who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Sunu Assurances, Mr Adeyemi Adetuwo has called on all Ghanaians to imbibe a culture of insuring their properties.

Speaking at the launch of Sunu Assurances' new distribution channel called "Ezisure", a mobile platform at their Head Office at Dzorwulu, Accra, Mr Adeyemi said that one does not need to experience loss or tragedy before considering insurance of property and business.

He added that insurance and the culture of protecting one's property against unforeseen circumstances need to be imbibed in Ghana and Africa as a whole; hence, the launching of this digital campaign.

Mr Adetuwo described the Ezisure channel as “an all-around, user-friendly, end-to-end product that anyone, anywhere can access on their mobile phones without needing any assistance”.

He further stated that to make Ezisure accessible to everyone, it comes in three packages; “for the tech and text savvy, we have our WhatsApp platform where people can purchase any of our insurance packages by simply saying “hi” on WhatsApp number 055-257-1980.

He added that people who do not own smartphones and aren’t conversant with WhatsApp can also patronize their USSD platform by dialling *711*733# on their phones to access their insurance packages.

He stressed that Corporate entities can also access the website of Sunu Assurances to buy any of their insurance packages.

He reiterated that Sunu Assurances’ aim is to deliver insurance to the doorstep of Ghanaians from all walks of life at their convenience; thus, the company has positioned itself as a customer-focused brand, providing maximum engagement avenues for the benefit of their customers.

Also addressing the media, the Head of Business Development, Sunu Assurances, Mr Hubert Kofi Bonsu said that many people see insurance as fraudulent but rather it is a means to cushion life and deal with unexpected expenses.

He also noted that the introduction of the Ezisure App is meant to serve Ghanaians online in order to protect their clients against Covid-19 so that in the comfort of their homes and workplaces, they can still protect their properties without difficulty.

Mr Hubert Kofi Bonsu added that the Ezisure App has been designed in such a way that it will be difficult for fraudsters to take undue advantage of the App to dupe clients; thus, it is secure to use the Ezisure channel.
