Strategic Measures To Control The Pandemic Disease - U. N. Y.A. GH

A global approach is the only way to fight COVID-19, the UN says it launches a humanitarian response plan. On Wednesday, 25th of March the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres launched a 2billion coordinated global humanitarian response plan to fight COVID-19 in Africa, Middle East and some part of Asia.

Coronavirus has killed more than 16,000 people worldwide and there are nearly 400,000 reported cases. It has a foothold across the globe and now is reaching countries that were already facing humanitarian problems because of conflict, natural disasters and climate change.
Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people with underlying medical problems like; cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease and cancer are more likely to develop serious illnesses when infected with the virus.

Old age in society must take precautions to prevent minor health cases which can lead to death. While focusing on COVID-19, let's focus on the other side as well because the virus can awaken the minor sicknesses in the human system which can cause more harm to the human body.

The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads.

Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus;
✓Wash your hands frequently
✓Maintain social distancing
✓Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
✓Practice respiratory hygiene
✓If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care clearly
✓Stay informed and follow the advice given by your healthcare provider

The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it's important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into flexed elbow).

At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating treatments. World Health Organization will continue to provide updated information as soon as clinical findings become available.

Stay informed and follow the precautions. Don’t panic, be calm everything will be fine.

God Almighty is our greatest protector.
