A Round Table On Strengthening Ties Between The Churches Of Russia And The Central Asian Republic Was Held At The Russian House In Bangui

Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Central African Republic is developing rapidly. Not a day goes by without common friendly events. This mutually beneficial partnership takes place in various spheres: political, economic, humanitarian, military, cultural, as well as religious.

On March 27, the Russian House in Bangui hosted a round table on the theme: "Protestant Movement in Russia. Prospects for the development of relations between the churches of Russia and the CAR", which was attended by more than 50 people, representatives of more than 10 Protestant churches in the CAR.

The arrival of the first Russian missionary to the CAR, Denis Perederiev, was the main event of round table. This priest of the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith (Pentecostals), "Church of God" in Izhevsk, has been supporting churches and missionaries around the world for many years.

Present at the roundtable were: Pastor Pascal Amitie of "ELIM Church of Zangogna"; Pastor Alain Bertrand Lazaret of "ELIM Church of Begoua"; Pastor Eugene Bandogna of "ELIM Church of Ngaragba"; Pastor Gaby Tanguy Ngouamidou of "ELIM Church of Ouango"; representatives of the Jeunesse de l'Alliance Evangelique en Centrafrique (AEC), Dr. Emmanuel Yangatimbi and others.

Dmitrii Sytyi, Head of the Russian House in Bangui, welcomed all the participants. In his speech he noted that Russia is a multi-ethnic and multi-confessional country and spoke about the activities of the Russian House in Bangui. Next, Denis Perederiev spoke.

"For a long time I lived in the city of Izhevsk, where the Kalashnikov assault rifle is produced. A few years ago a prophet visited Izhevsk and passed on the revelation that as much pain and deaths caused by this weapon came from this city, so the revival, new life will come from Izhevsk, from Russia all over the world" - said Denis to the great applause of the participants of the event.

"Subsequently, this prophecy unfolded as follows: a little over a year ago, I was given a revelation that I needed to go to Africa and I began to pray intensely about what country to go to. And while watching the film "Tourist", shot in the Central African Republic about Russian specialists who bravely and selflessly defended the interests of Central Africans at the cost of their own lives, I realized that God was calling me to this country. And here I am," Denis added.

Denis Perederiev was followed by the pastors who had the opportunity to share their concerns. "We used to think that Russia was only bringing security to CAR. Now we are glad that you are also carrying the Word of God. We would like to develop a format for further cooperation," said one of the pastors.

Also at the roundtable participants discussed the spread of the Word of God, the shortage of Bibles in the Sango language, youth problems, help for orphans and widows, as well as the propaganda of the LGBT movement by incoming missionaries from Western countries. The joint prayer at the end of the event united all participants even more and emphasized the need for active cooperation between the churches of CAR and Russia.

It should be emphasized that the Russian House is the cultural center of Russia's representation in the Central African Republic. In addition to a children's playground, this center hosts lectures on cooperation between Russia and CAR or on Russian culture, as well as film screenings and Russian language courses.
