The Chiefs and People of Noberkaw, in the Asunafo South District of Ahafo Region has commended President Nana Akufo Addo and Asunafo South District Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Aduse Poku for fulfilment of their promise of providing portable water for the town.

Residents says they struggle to get water during dry season.

Speaking at a sod-cutting ceremony at Noberkaw for commencement of a $100,000 Noberkaw Small Town Water treatment facility by Asunafo South District Assembly and Safe Water Network, Non-Governmental Organization, Nana Basua Kumanin III, Chief of Noberkaw said the chiefs and people are grateful to President Nana Akufo Addo and the DCE for the project since it will end the long term water challenges of the town.

The Asunafo South District Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Aduse Poku said the project is expected to be completed and hand over in six months time and urge residents of the town to provide the necessary support for the contractor within the period for him to deliver the project on time.

Some women of Noberkaw told told Peace fm, that getting portable water for domestic use was challenge to women in the town.
