A member of the Communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Adjei, has condemned the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for speaking against NDC's COVID-19 response team which was recently outdoored.

The response team is supposed to lead the party’s public advocacy and sensitization activities on the coronavirus pandemic as well as collaborate with the ruling government upon request.

However, the ruling government feels it is not important to form a different team; adding the NDC's response team was to score political points.

But Eric Adjei disagrees.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's 'kokrokoo' programme, he said: "if we keep politicizing the coronavirus pandemic, we can’t defeat it. I don’t see anything wrong with the response team. If political party communicators were selected then you will know the agenda but those selected are professionals in their field".
