Election Petition: Sammy Gyamfi At It Again; Don't Be Deceived For The Second Time - Mame Yaa Cautions NDC Supporters

The Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has urged his party faithful not to give up on seeking justice and a re-run of the 2020 Presidential elections at the Supreme Court of Ghana.

Sammy Gyamfi, speaking to Hello FM’s King Edward, charged NDC supporters not to lose hope in the ongoing court proceedings saying "even if our petition is dismissed, there is still hope. We know what we are doing”.

Reacting to Sammy Gyamfi’s comments, NPP Deputy Communications Director, Mame Yaa Aboagye ridiculed the NDC Chief Communicator asking "why are you still giving your supporters false hope instead of telling them the truth?"

"After knowing very well that you lost the elections woefully, you still went ahead and incited your supporters to go on the streets, burn tyres and destroy national properties in a distasteful manner only to go to Court, not with a claim of an outright victory, but to seek a rerun of the elections. So, why are you still giving them false hope?

Mame Yaa also chided the NDC for hiding behind their own guilt to present a frivolous case at the Supreme Court, stating that just like the 2016 elections, they subsequently went into that of 2020 with a malfunctioned election monitoring machinery which in effect caused their failure to gather their own copies of certified pink sheets across the country and competently collate their own figures correctly. You are here once again to deceive them.

However, she graciously counseled the NDC foot soldiers to guard their hearts and emotions religiously after the court ruling.

She also implored the NDC supporters in general not to believe in the false hopes and deceitful bravado their party leaders are blustering upon them in other not to hit the streets after the supreme court ruling like they previously after the 2020 general elections so not to cause disaffection for their party among the general public.
