I’m Not Inciting Ghanaian Youth Against President Akufo-Addo - Asiedu Nketia

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has debunked the assertion by some section of Ghanaians especially the members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) that he [Asiedu Nketia] is inciting the youth against President Akufo-Addo.

According to the NDC Chief Scribe, he is only enlightening the youth to know the consequences of the action taken by the government as they have every right to protect their future from destruction.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, General Mosquito as he is popularly called reiterated that he cannot be blamed for enlightening the youth to show concern for their future which is being destroyed by the decision taken by the Akufo-Addo led government.

“What are we leaving behind for the next generation? So if the youth are sitting down unconcerned to inherit a destroyed nation, that is up to them. I have heard that some people are saying that I am inciting the youth to create chaos, but I am not inciting them; rather I am enlightening them to see consequences of our action today against their future,” he debunked.

He stressed that it is important to make people see the consequences of their choices in life as it is not possible to take a particular decision and expect a different outcome.

“So if you don’t want those consequences that will follow a particular choice then don’t make that choice. It is madness to think that you have taken that choice and you are fully aware of its consequences but then you don’t want that consequences to happen based on that choice. It is madness to choose the road to Aflao and expect to reach the destination of Abidjan,” he chided.

“This is why I am saying that those who are making those decisions, if they have done nothing wrong, then those of us who are saying that those decisions will result in a particular way, what crime have we committed?”, he wondered.
