The Overlord of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has assured Vice President and presidential candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party, His Excellency Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia of his continuous prayer towards his Presidency.

The King, who described the Vice President as his humble son, said he will not relent in providing his spiritual support for him and gave this assurance when the Vice President and his entourage paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday as part of his 3-day tour of the Ashanti Region.

"You have always been a humble son. Power has not changed you at all, continue to be humble and serve. I am assuring you of my spiritual intervention for you till the day of the elections", His Royal Majesty, the Asantehene said.

The Vice President received a rousing welcome in the Ashanti Region as he wrapped up his campaign tour of the 16 Regions.

The unprecedented reception from residents of the Ashanti Region has sent shivers down the spine of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
