Ghanaian Youth will Ensure a Peaceful Election - Dr. Bawumia reposes confidence in Youth

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana and the flag bearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reposed his confidence in the Ghanaian youths, stating that, the Ghanaian youths will ensure that the country experiences an incident free Presidential and parliamentary elections.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stated that the youth of God will maintain the peace and stability of Ghana before, during, and after the 2024 general elections.

According to him, the Ghanaian youths have always demonstrated, beyond reasonable doubts, their deepest love for their country, and will do everything possible protect the peace and stability the country has been enjoying over the years.

Dr. Bawumia posted on his official Facebook page after serving as the reviewing officer during the 70th Anniversary of the National Cadet Corps and Cadet Youth parade at the Black Stars Square.

He said, “I underscored the significant role the Cadet plays and made the advocacy that it is time for various security agencies to take a critical look at unearthing brilliant talents from the National Cadet Corps and other sister volunteer youth groups by giving them some quota and the opportunity when it comes to recruiting and enlisting into the various security services."

“I also expressed confidence that the youth of Ghana as they have done in the past will maintain the peace and stability of Ghana before, during, and after the 2024 General elections.”

According to Dr. Bawumia, the discipline and knowledge cadets acquired from their training was rich and could be used for the benefit of the nation adding that a minimum of 10 per cent quota should be offered them as against a two per cent quota requested by the leadership of the cadet corps last year.

Dr. Bawumia said, “Ghana’s youth of today tell us the future of our Republic. The discipline embedded in them tells us how the future will be when most of us are no longer in leadership.”
