A mammoth number of market women in Accra have declared their support for Vice President and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Dr. Bawumia, as part of his nationwide campaign, stormed popular markets in Accra on a rainy Tuesday morning and received warm reception from enthusiastic traders across the markets he visited.
The NPP Flagbearer visited the Mamprobi, Makola, Okaishie and Kantamanto markets and the embrace from the joyous crowd once again establishes Dr. Bawumia's increasing popularity.
Some market women who spoke to the media during the tour insisted that Dr. Bawumia is the right leader they trust to take Ghana forward.
"We are moving forward with Bawumia, so I will vote for him", a trader said.
Another trader also remarked; "There is no doubt about it. Bawumia is the one I like and he is the one I will vote because we cannot go back. We saw the past and we have have seen all the progress now."
The traders hugely appreciated the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia's Free SHS policy and thanked the government for introducing such impactful initiative.
"Free SHS has been a saviour for us and our children. We want it to continue and it can only be safe in the hands of Bawumia, who believes in it, not someone who said Ghana did not need it", a trader at the Makola market commented.
"Three of my children and two of my brother's children have attended Free SHS for free. That is five children and I should not vote for the NPP and Bawumia?", a trader asked.
Dr. Bawumia, during his visit, walked through the rains to engage with the traders who expressed their profoud gratitude to him and pledged to cast their votes for him to be elected Ghana's President in 2025.
